Enjoy unpacking your new purchase! And be sure to remove all labels and packaging.
\nWash your Le Creuset product in warm soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
\nBefore using your kettle for the first time, remove the lid, fill with clean water, bring to the boil and discard the water.
\nDo not fill above the indicator.<\/p>\n
Cooking<\/p>\n
For induction hobs, avoid using the \u201cbooster\u201d function as this should only be used to quickly heat large volumes of water.
\nLift the kettle when moving it, do not slide it across the surface as this may damage the base of the kettle or the surface.
\nDo not slide the product across a glass hob as this may cause damage to the base of the product and the glass. Always lift the product when placing it down, moving it or removing it from the surface.
\nWhen hot, place on a heat-resistant surface.<\/p>\n
Cleaning<\/p>\n
Clean the kettle after each use by hand washing with a neutral detergent. Never use abrasives or harsh detergents, as they may damage the surface. Done? Dry the kettle thoroughly to avoid mineral deposits.
\nDo not leave water in the kettle when not in use.
\nA stainless steel cleaner can be used to remove limescale and other marks, and to condition, polish and protect stainless steel surfaces.<\/p>\n
Use<\/p>\n
Use the product on the most suitable hob ring to avoid damage or overheating.
\nOn induction hobs, do not rely on the automatic switch-off function. If it malfunctions, all the water in the kettle may evaporate, causing damage from overheating.
\nFor kettles with a folding handle, to avoid overheating the handle, ensure it is securely in the upright position before placing the kettle on the heat source.
\nClose the lid tightly to keep the handle safe from steam.
\nAlways ensure the notches on the spout and lid are facing away from you and others.
\nDo not leave the kettle on the heat source until the water has run out, as this will cause rapid overheating.
\nRemember to turn off the heat source when the water starts to boil and remove the kettle from the heat source.
\nBoiling water? Wait 10-15 seconds before removing the kettle from the heat source, then pour. Never tip the kettle upside down. Make sure to close the lid by pressing firmly on the knob.
