Venini Hourglass 420.06 designed by Fulvio Bianconi and Paolo Venini in blown and handcrafted Murano glass using the complex “Incalmo” technique, which consists of hot coupling different glass elements usually of different colours to create a single object.
Blows of glass enclose the sand, let it pass by holding it, as in a perpetual balance between yesterday, today and tomorrow. This type of workmanship in the narrowest part emphasises the intricate craftsmanship.
A curiosity: the time for the sand to fall is 3 minutes.
